I did something today that I don’t normally do.
Just a couple months back I started creating a business audit every single month, and today I sat down and really looked at all of my business audits for the past couple months.
And you know what I did, I eliminated a lot of places where I was spending so much money on. Now you might be sitting back and saying why would I even do that?

1. Choose something well targeted, (long tail) for example, if you had an affiliate site for apple iphone, it’s probably not a good idea to go for iphone because your chances of being seen in that crowd is almost non existent unless you want to spend thousands of dollars and many years.
Instead you can use services like tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/index.php (free) or www.nichebot.com (paid) to find the highly targeted words. The free tool isn’t as detailed and since overture keyword suggestion has been shut, wordtracker free is the only free source of Keyword info currently.

What do website hosting and car engines have in common?
I spent most of today debating whether I should move to a different host because I’ve been tempted by the cheap offers coming up lately. I pay about $10/month for my hosting from HostGator.
I saw a couple offers from reliable hosts rated pretty high for as low as $5.95 a month, Hey! That’s cutting my costs into half! Look, I am by no means evangelizing hostgator, I don’t think they are the perfect company to set foot on the earth. I’m sure there are much better companies out there but it is worth it? Sometimes, it may not be.

Scenario: Oh No! I’m new to business. I better read all the books, blogs and sites I can find!
How about…NOT? (or..yes please but in moderation) I learned it the hard way..
When solving any problem (physics, math or engineering and I’d believe it’s the same for other courses too), the starting point is always listing down what you know. You make a column of “Knowns”, re-read the questions and work with what you already know…correct?

How many engineers do you know build things?
1, 2, 3? How many?
Actually, let me back up a little. Most people do think engineers build things but I want you to think again. How many engineers do you know sit down and actually make radios, cars or whatever? Almost none.
And, that is because engineers design things. We don’t build things..We design, look over what others do and write lengthy reports (where applicable)
If engineers were to build things everything you have now would cost a whole lot more and engineering would probably be dead by now.
